What We Do

Addressing Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) such as Diabetes and Hypertension across communities, multidisciplinary clinics provide integrated screening, counselling, and medication support to enable long-term management. In parallel, Diabetes Education initiatives delivered through schools promote early awareness and healthy practices, supporting prevention across the life course. This work also extends to people living with HIV, where integrated care models address NCD co-morbidities and strengthen continuity of treatment and overall wellbeing.
Trauma-informed counselling and peer support groups are integrated within care programmes to address the psychological impact of stigma among people living with chronic illness and adolescents in the wider community. A confidential helpline offers emotional support, information, and care navigation for people affected by HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. Together, these interventions reduce isolation, strengthen coping skills, and build emotional resilience.

YRG’s work around substance use is grounded in public health evidence, dignity, and long-term community partnership. Alongside harm-reduction services for People Who Use Drugs (PWUD) and People Who Inject Drugs (PWID), we increasingly focus on awareness generation and prevention, responding to the growing normalisation of substance use among adolescents and young people. Our work spans Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST), motivational counselling, and HIV and viral hepatitis testing, with strong linkages to non-HIV healthcare, mental health support, and social protection systems.
Through tailored education, life-skills building, and accessible sexual and reproductive health services, we work with adolescents and young people to strengthen health, agency, and decision-making. Our youth-friendly clinics and community programmes create supportive environments where young people can seek care, ask questions, and grow into informed, confident adults. This includes Project Sabrang Clinics-specialised, stigma-free spaces advancing transgender and LGBTQIA+ youth health through comprehensive, affirming care.
