IT-Enabled Virtual Strategy Under NACP

YRG MERF serves as a Sub-Recipient for the Global Fund Grant (2024–2027) under NACO, rolling out a nationwide Virtual Intervention to complement traditional HIV services and reach underserved populations digitally.

We develop targeted outreach for high-risk groups, such as youth and adolescents, utilising mobile technology for prevention, counselling, linkages to testing and care continuum from there on.

Initiatives include creating safe online spaces for adolescents, engaging stakeholders for demand generation, and utilising the 24/7 - 1097 helpline for mental health support and stigma reduction apart from generating demand for the platform.

Kshamta Kendra

HIV Prevention, Care, and Support

YRGMERF acts as a Sub Recipient partner to SAATHII in implementing the Kshamta Kendra project, supported by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM) under NACO. Kshamta Kendra - meaning “Centre for Competence” - is a targeted capacity-building initiative aimed at enhancing the knowledge, skills, and advocacy abilities of frontline functionaries working within State AIDS Control Society (SACS)-contracted Targeted Interventions (TI) and Link Worker Scheme (LWS) programmes.

The programme operates across four states in the North-East region: Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, and Sikkim - geographically diverse and strategically important territories where community-level HIV prevention efforts need ongoing technical support.
